Pet Shop Boys on Tour

The Pet Shop Boys always were one of my favorite pop groups…. I will be in Boston, USA, at that time. It’s sometimes hard to be a (hard blogging) scientist.See tour schedule at the Pet Shop Boys‘ homepage.P.S.: Listen to their newest single at their homepage: „I’m with stupid“.

Finally, I decided to go to a pop concert. (Would be my first concert, mind you!) The Pet Shop Boys always were one of my favorite pop groups. Great music, great lyrics … One of their few concerts actually would be not too far away, in Bonn. Great, isn’t it? Thought so, too. Until I had a closer look at the date. Content, Users, and Context

As context is one of my main research interests I welcomed this article on Understanding the Market Context. The authors modify The Three Circles of Information Architecture (used by Peter Morville for User Experience Design).

Fazit: lesenswert.

Escape Pod

Being a science fiction fan–well more of a fan of scifi series such as Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, etc.–and an Apple iPod addict I was glad to be pointed to „The Science Fiction Podcast Magazine“ Escape Pod. Thanks, Mehmet!

Becoming a hard bloggin‘ scientist

Blogging became a major issue in my direct vicinity, at my work place as well as in the Semantic Web project NEPOMUK – The Social Semantic Desktop. I am very happy and excited about the cultural initiative DigitalCouch.de hosting the monthly event „The Great Escape“, which provides new perspectives on (digital) life in Kaiserslautern and beyond.

Well, as you can see I have not adopted the blogging lifestyle yet. I still have to come to terms with it, but over the last half year I learned a lot about blogging and (social) networking on the web, and about its importance.
Creating a community of Hard Bloggin‘ Scientists was just a logical step, wasn’t it?
Let’s see where my place in this picture is …
